| Earlier this week, I heard from old hs classmates that one of our classmates had passed away unexpectedly. she was 23 and serving in the peace corps in morocco. Although I wasn't close to her, I could see the impact she had on the people and the world around her. Back in hs, she wasn't one of my favorite people, but even back then, I knew she was going to accomplish great things. I'm glad to know she had accomplished a lot even in her short life, but I'm also sad to know that she could have accomplished so much more.
May she rest in peace.
I don't know who reads this anymore. If you still do, I don't know how often I'll write in the future, it's going to be sporadic for sure. I guess I don't feel like I have much interesting thoughts to share.

| and it seems like I'm back in high school sorta. haha I'm unemployed, I'm living at home, my mom makes me dinner, my dad does laundry, I help around the house. The only people missing from this picture is my little brother and my grandpa. Little brother is working at his summer internship and my grandpa passed away in June.
What's the plan now? Find a job here while waiting to hear back from the jobs i really want. So going to look for a temp job here in SF probably in september or so. Right now, I'm giving myself a short break and getting settled back in. Going to turn 24 in a few days....getting older.
well for the people who still read this, perhaps i'll try to write more now that I don't really have much to do.
Goals though I need to get started on is to get back in shape (running shape) and get stronger, be able to do several pull ups. It's going to be fun and tough... Currently I'm hoping to be physically fit enough to keep up with johnny and his parents in hiking, when we go to alaska. yep going to alaska for like 10 days, should be fun!

| I have only two finals left before I'm officially done with school forever. My last final is May 12th. Many of you are wondering (well maybe not many, but the few who still even read this thing) what I'll be doing after graduation. Good question, I'm wondering that myself.
I've been applying to jobs and hearing back from a few and not getting good answers. There were a few jobs where apparently I only qualify for a GS-5 level job, because I don't have the experience. It's daunting. Apparently my college degrees don't help me there! =P I keep checking usajobs.com and I keep on applying. It's the first time in my life where I'm uncertain where I will be in a year. Like years before, I knew I'll be in college, grad school, etc, but now, where will I be in a year? I have no idea.
It's a bit unnerving, but I keep telling myself that's just how life is. You can plan everything, but you don't know what it's going to throw at you. We'll see what life throws at me. I've definitely been adding random things to my resume through the past few years.
For the immediate future, looks like I'll stick around DC until my lease runs out end of July, then I'm going to move home unless I get a job offer before that. If I end up moving home, I'll be at home until I get a job related to my field, and that could take me anywhere in the US. I'm not going to be too picky about location, I just want a job and my foot in the door.

| Well yep I guess I didn't have time to write in the xanga last month. So it's now a new year. In January, I went on a mexican riviera cruise with the bf and the cruise ship stopped in puerto vallarta, mazatlan and cabo san lucas. fun cruise, good food (i gained 2 pounds or something like that haha), met people from canada, scotland, hawaii, alaska, etc. Trivia sessions were fun, our team even won one session, got a nice passport holder, that I ended up giving to my dad. hehe
Went back to school mid-jan, it's my last semester. taking only two classes. still have my job as a banquet server and actually started getting work from a temp agency. I'll be working a long term temp assignment at the british embassy, so that'll be cool. I'll have steady work for the week during the day. definitely could use the money. have two papers due this semester, have a comprehensive exam coming up the first weekend of march, and then two midterms right after that, so it's going to be a busy the next couple of weeks.
not too much more, had a good weekend since johnny was in town for president's day weekend and valentine's day. :) so that was nice. I'll be going home mid-march for spring break and i'm excited because I'm also going to see wicked! yay!

| I know I don't write in this thing anymore. I think I'm just not much of a blogger, though I wish I sorta was, because I read my past entries and it brings back memories. I have not written in my actual journal in years. Enough blabbering, I'll just update you what I've been up to.
So I'm done with a semester of school. Did fine on finals and got more one semester (two classes) to go before I graduate. So almost done! my day job is not having the same position for next year, so I need to find a day job when I get back to DC in January. I'm thinking about doing temp work. As for full time real jobs, I've put in my apps and hopefully will hear back sometime next year. I got home from DC on December 18th. I was flying southwest. My flight was supposed to be to fly from Dulles airport to Vegas and switch planes to fly to SFO, but the flight from dc to vegas was canceled because of the snowstorm in vegas!! snow in vegas? yep it happened and I thought i was smart to connect in vegas instead of chicago. oh well. So they gave me a free shuttle ride to baltimore airport, because dulles is not a big southwest hub. So instead of flying out of DC at 805, my flight was now from baltimore at 245, and it stopped in louisville, kentucky, then went to chicago midway and then to SFO. So yea it was a long travel day for me.
So I've been home in SF since then. got to see family and johnny before he went back down to thousand oaks. I've gotten to see some high school and some college friends. so that's been nice too. I'll be in town till the 31st and then going down to see johnny and his family. Then we're going on a mexican cruise. Should be fun.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and hope you all have a Happy New Year!
